Sally Bingham

We logged another “ooh, ahh” moment at Huka Falls.  We took a boat cruise to the falls.  The lake beyond the falls was full of New Zealand water fowl.  Our favorites had to be the black swans.  The guide told us they were not native and even considered pests by some people but we loved the way they glided along beside the boat.  But the thing that was most impressive was the water color.  It was the deepest aqua blue you can imagine.  The only other blue that I have seen that compares was the blue of the glaciers in Alaska.  It was beautiful there but so frozen and still.  Here it is moving, swirlling, and white-capping.  It looks like someone took jewels and squeezed out the color and then highlighted it.  Sally Bingham wore a jacket that almost matched the water color.
