Fantasy has planned everything in advance as usual.
Alice Springs is the destination today. We hopped a plane in Sydney and headed for Australia’s famous Outback. This area is wild and sparsely populated due to the harsh desert climate in Australia’s interior. You might call it Australia’s wild frontier. At Alice Springs we were met by Maui Rental Company and whisked away to pick up our 4 berth motor caravans as they are called here in Australia. This part of the trip I am looking forward to seeing the most. Here is Australia’s beautiful red rock country, Ayers Rock, Kings Canyon, the Olga and much more. But, today we will just do a little grocery shopping and while away the time enjoying this outpost of civilization in the desert. Near the RV park is a place where we can feed wallabies. Several of the group walked over and have a ball with these small kangaroo like creatures. The little critters grab your hand while they feed. This is really cute and Peggy Huegele is feeding a real cutie today.
Well, tomorrow we will go to Aboriginal Dreamtime Experience and learn about the culture of the first people here. In the evening, we go for a dinner under the stars at the Sound Silence Restaurant. So, again, tomorrow is another day and I need to get some rest. I know as usual Fantasy will make it a memorial day.
