We leave Waitomo on a bright and sunny morning. Our journey takes us through the busy city of Auckland to Orewa. We spy our friends Carrie and Roger taking a morning break beside the river. They sure do know how to smell the roses. M-m-m- m, I could get use to coffee and muffins in a lovely setting like this. Life right now is just too good to be true.
We arrive at our beautiful campground right on the beach about noon. The afternoon is spent just wondering up and down the beach. The bright sails of the windsurfers punctuate the air with so much color. This is another great photo op for me. I really appreciate the fact that Fantasy picks out the best of the best for campgrounds.
We spend evening relaxing and sharing our experiences of the last few days. Our group chats excitedly about our New Zealand travels. Fantasy has enriched our lives with so much beauty, culture and great friendships. I ponder over another fabulous meal if I could have done this trip on my own. The answer is no. I know even with hours of internet research that I would have missed more than half the activities and especially the great Fantasy family I am a now member.
A little melancholy sets in as I realize there are only 4 more days here in New Zealand. Time flies when you are having fun. Tomorrow we head for a couple of days in Paihia.
