We have had some of the most fun bird encounters since arriving in Australia. At our RV park in Rockhampton, Australia, we had a flock of the most beautiful lorikeets come to visit. They allowed us to feed them and one was friendly enough to hop on to Bev Brock’s hand!

On the road to Hervey Bay, we stopped at a free flight bird sanctuary which had many of Australia’s colorful birds. They also were friendly and one little guy rode around on my shoulder. We were warned not to wear jewelry into the area because they are attracted to shiny objects. You can see he is eyeing my earrings. I had to take them off or I think he would have!
