Today we arrive in Rotorua in the heart of the thermal and volcanic area of New Zealand.  A beautiful clock tower dominates the town and is the symbol of Rotorua.  Everywhere I smell a sulphur odor.  It is a constant reminder of the bubbling and escaping steam that I see all over this town.  I do not find the odor unpleasant.

When we get to the RV park and I see Panda, the resident cat sitting on a post.  He is staring at something in the undergrowth. I looked to see what was in the bush and viola; it was an elusive Pukeko bird.  I, finally, snapped the picture I had been trying to get for quite a while.

We have a nice RV park on the edge of town and when people arrived this evening, we just hung out and visited. It was warm out in the sun so very enjoyable.  There is a very nice kitchen here so many cooked in there and used the BBQ grills. We only have 5 days left in this RV so we are all trying to eat up the food we bought.

What a delightful way to end this enjoyable day from the thermal hot springs, Huka Falls and now just a quiet evening enjoying my new Fantasy family here in Rotorua.  Could it get any better?
