We started our tour in Christchurch, New Zealand. Did you know that the primary base for Antarctic exploration by the United States is here? It is from here that people and material are ferried to the South Pole by US aircraft. The International Antarctic Center is a really cool place to find out what the environment is like and the projects going on at our base in Antarctica.
