We awoke in Te Anau to 34 degrees and new snow on the mountains. As we drove out thru higher elevations we had snow all around us. Wow! Beautiful fall day in NZ!
The snow made for a beautiful drive into Queenstown, the adventure capital of NZ. In the late afternoon our group rode the gondola up Bob’s Peak mountain and all us kids had a ball riding the luge on wheels down a winding track. Before dinner my wife Gisela and Dick & Gayle Green took a paraglide thrill ride off the very top of the mountain. Hey, it is the adventure capital! The sky was golden as they glided over the trees and down to the ground. A very beautiful day in Queenstown. Then, what we all came for…one of the best buffet meals we’ve had anywhere in the world with a stunning view of Queenstown. This photo is of the restaurant perched over an edge of the mountain.
