Relaxing at beautiful Glen Helen Resort after a busy day of visits to chasms, ochre pits and gorges in the area. During the drive from Alice Springs one begins to realize why this middle of Australia area is known as “the red center”. Each area brought us unbelievable vistas of beautiful red rocks.
The background for the resort is a broad red rock wall of the Glen Helen Gorge that gives off a ghostly white glow at night from the few lights of the lodge and the night sky is lighted with stars that can only be seen where there is little artificial light. This “Outback” experience is proving to be another great part of our Fantasy RV adventure. We will come home with a lifetime of memories and beautiful pictures.
