Day 47 – May 24th Australia's Blue Mountains Scenic World-Video

Scenic World is an attraction in the Blue Mountains of Australia. Fantasy RV Tours is the only tour company to take customers to the black opal territory of Lightning Ridge, and to Warrumbungle National Park where we are camped with the kangaroos and the Blue Mountains just outside of
Sydney.

The Blue Mountains get their name from the blue haze emitted by tiny droplets of moisture from the huge forests of Eucalyptus trees and they are the background for Scenic World, a former coal mine site. The Skyway gondola operates 750 feet above the rainforest and the views as it travels across the gorge are magnificent. The 19th century coal train line descends to the bottom of the forest on a 44 degree track which is a thrill ride in itself. Our group walked the boardwalk along the bottom of the rainforest and were treated to mating lyre birds, Their distinctive calls could be heard all over the rainforest.  The ride back to the top is on a large and modern gondola.

    G,
This was featured on a Rudy Maxx video on PBS. It looked fun and exciting. I, always wanted to visit here. Once again you are living the great life. It’s on my bucket list. Someday my dreams might come true.
