Our group has been so excited to see wild camels roaming the desert. All the rain that fell produced lots of spinafex grass that the camels love to eat thus lots of camel spotting this year. They are the only creature that can digest this grass because they have four stomachs. They better get busy and eat it all or there will be devastating fires come September!

We all got a very rare view of the Outback this year. Usually all you see is red dirt. This year it’s covered in the tall grass, new little desert oaks and some slightly green areas. As you would guess it’s a beautiful site whether it’s red or grassy.
